What can I do if the library doesn’t have the title that I am looking for? Print

Inter-library loans allows you to obtain items that are not in the NBPLS collection by requesting them from elsewhere in Canada or the world. You can request a book and the library calls you when it's available. You can then come and get it from the library!

The service is free unless the library we are borrowing the item(s) from imposes fees. You can keep the items for a varying period of 2 to 4 weeks. There is a maximum of ten requests at once. Talk to staff at the library to obtain more information.
